Mi pasión por el inglés nació hace muchos años, exactamente en 1996, cuando alguien llevó un Super Nintendo a mi hogar. En ese momento, sin saberlo, ese pequeño aparato cambió mi vida. Pasaba horas jugando videojuegos (todos en inglés) y, aunque era apenas un niño, descubrí que la única forma de disfrutar esos mundos increíbles era entendiendo el idioma. No tenía un profesor, no tenía un método… tenía pura curiosidad y una enorme ilusión por seguir jugando. Así, aprendí mis primeras palabras en inglés.
Con el tiempo seguí jugando y mi inglés empezó a ser sorprendentemente bueno para alguien de Latinoamérica en esa época. Por eso, cuando entré a la primaria, la materia de inglés me pareció extremadamente sencilla. Aprobaba sin esfuerzo. Y lo mismo ocurrió cuando ingresé al colegio y a la universidad, estudié Administración de Empresas: el inglés siempre fue lo más fácil para mí. Para cubrir gastos daba clases a algunos estudiantes, sin imaginar que esa pequeña acción se convertiría en uno de los mayores propósitos de mi vida.
Después de casi 18 años en la escuela, el colegio y la universidad, descubrí algo doloroso: el inglés que se enseña en mi país es pobre, incompleto, y prácticamente nadie aprende a hablar realmente. Más tarde confirmé que mi país estaba entre los peores del mundo en aprendizaje del inglés. Fue frustrante. Incluso yo, que sabía mucho más que el promedio, tenía dificultades para mantener una conversación real con un nativo. Sentí que todo ese tiempo había estudiado un inglés que no servía para hablar, al inicio me sentí totalmente frustrado ya que después de 18 años estudiando inglés, ni siquiera podía entender ni hablar en inglés, sentí que todo ese tiempo había sido solamente tiempo desperdiciado. Fue triste pero sí, el sistema educativo en mi país realmente no enseña inglés
Ahí comenzó mi verdadero aprendizaje y mi búsqueda por métodos, cursos, técnicas, estrategias… todo. El proceso fue intenso y revelador. Entendí que saber gramática no es lo mismo que hablar. Que aprender inglés requiere más que memorizar reglas. Y mientras más aprendía, más crecía mi deseo de mejorar, no solo por mí, sino porque intuía que un día podría ayudar a otros a evitar todos los errores que yo cometí.
Pero la vida tenía otros planes. Llegaron, etapas muy complicadas que ni en mis pesadillas habría imaginado, primero me rompí la rodilla, permanecí un buen tiempo con muletas, tiempo en el que me dediqué a seguir aprendiendo, por suerte siempre conté con la compañía de mi fiel felino 🐱. Logré recuperarme y después de casi un año otra vez volví a caminar sentí que volví a vivir, pero las oportunidades laborales en mi país eran cada vez más escazas intenté darme un futuro mejor, traté de darle un propósito final a todo el inglés que aprendí, para finalmente tratar de migrar, pero solamente resulté estafado y lo perdí todo. Sin trabajo, sin familia, sin dinero, con deudas de varios ceros y completamente solo y para empeorar también perdí a quién sería mi compañera de vida. Lo único que tenía eran mis animales, mis perros y mis gatos quienes se convirtieron en mi verdadera y única familia. Su compañía y su amor incondicional me mantuvieron firme en los momentos más difíciles.
A pesar de esas circunstancias, no renuncié. Seguí estudiando, trabajando, buscando oportunidades en cada rincón posible. Tuve varios empleos, algunos muy duros, pero nunca abandoné mi camino: aprender y enseñar inglés. En cada clase veía la misma reacción: alumnos felices, motivados, agradecidos. Descubrí que tenía un don para enseñar, una verdadera pasión por compartir este idioma, una misión que iba más allá del dinero.
Y esa pasión me llevó a obtener una certificación internacional en TESOL, algo que consideré un logro muy importante, especialmente considerando la complicada situación que vivía en ese momento (y varias noches de desvelo). Esa certificación me abrió puertas, y al final pude dedicarme solamente a enseñar inglés y terminé como director de una importante institución de idiomas en mi ciudad natal.
Pero eso no fue todo, fui aceptado en un programa de cuarto nivel, gané una beca, en la universidad con el ranking #1 del país. El camino fue retador, intenso y muy exigente, pero también profundamente gratificante. Finalmente, obtuve una Maestría en Inglés Como Lengua Extranjera, graduándome con excelencia académica. Ese logro no solo perfeccionó mi inglés, sino que me concedió técnicas, metodologías y herramientas para ser un profesor verdaderamente preparado para enseñar inglés y transformar vidas.
Durante todo este tiempo siempre tuve la compañía de mis fieles amigos mis perros y gatos que estuvieron conmigo. Ellos han sido mi refugio, mi fuerza, mi familia. Es por eso que desarrollé un gran cariño y un amor profundo por los animales. Por eso, el propósito de esta página no es solamente enseñarte una habilidad que te acompañará toda la vida. También es una oportunidad para ayudar a los animalitos que están allá afuera: solos, enfermos, hambrientos, sufriendo, esperando una mano amiga.

Un año con mi compañero, cuando me rompí la rodilla
My passion for English was born many years ago, exactly in 1996, when someone brought a Super Nintendo to my home. At that moment, without knowing it, that small device changed my life. I spent hours playing video games (all of them in English), and even though I was only a child, I discovered that the only way to enjoy those incredible worlds was by understanding the language. I did not have a teacher, I did not have a method… I only had curiosity and a big illusion to keep playing. In this way, I learned my first words in English.
As time passed, I continued playing and my English became surprisingly good for someone from Latin America during that time. Because of that, when I entered elementary school, the English class felt extremely easy. I passed every test without effort. The same thing happened when I entered high school and university, where I studied Business Administration. English was always the easiest subject for me. To cover my expenses, I taught some students, without imagining that this small action would later become one of the greatest purposes of my life.
After almost 18 years in school, high school, and university, I discovered something painful: the English that is taught in my country is poor, incomplete, and almost nobody really learns to speak it. Later, I confirmed that my country was one of the worst in the world in English learning. It was very frustrating. Even I, who knew much more than the average student, had difficulties maintaining a real conversation with a native speaker. I felt that all those years I had studied an English that was useless for speaking. I felt completely frustrated because after 18 years studying English, I could not understand or speak the language. I felt that all that time had been wasted. It was sad, but it was true: the educational system in my country does not teach English in an effective way.
That moment was the beginning of my real learning and my search for methods, courses, techniques, and strategies… everything. The process was intense and revealing. I understood that knowing grammar is not the same as speaking. I understood that learning English requires more than memorizing rules. And the more I learned, the more my desire to improve grew, not only for myself, but also because I felt that one day I could help others avoid all the mistakes that I made.
But life had other plans. Very difficult moments arrived, moments that I would not have imagined even in my nightmares. First, I broke my knee and spent a long time using crutches. During that time, I continued studying, and fortunately I always had the company of my loyal feline friend 🐱. I recovered, and after almost one year I walked again. I felt that I came back to life. However, job opportunities in my country were fewer every day. I tried to build a better future, I tried to give a final purpose to all the English that I had learned, and I tried to migrate, but I was deceived and I lost everything. I was left without a job, without family, without money, with debts of many zeros, and completely alone. To make everything worse, I also lost the person who was supposed to be my life partner. The only thing I had was my animals, my dogs and my cats, who became my true and only family. Their company and unconditional love kept me strong during the most difficult moments.
In spite of those circumstances, I did not give up. I continued studying, working, and searching for opportunities in every possible place. I had several jobs, some of them very difficult, but I never abandoned my path: learning and teaching English. In every class, I saw the same reaction: my students were happy, motivated, and grateful. I discovered that I had a gift for teaching, a true passion for sharing this language, a mission that went beyond money.
That passion guided me to obtain an international TESOL certification, something that I considered a very important achievement, especially because of the difficult situation I was living at that moment (and many sleepless nights). That certification opened new doors for me, and in the end, I was able to dedicate myself only to teaching English. I even became the director of an important language institution in my hometown. But that was not all. I was accepted into a postgraduate program, and I won a scholarship in the university with the number one ranking in the country. The path was demanding, intense, and very challenging, but also deeply rewarding. Finally, I obtained a Master’s Degree in English as a Foreign Language, graduating with academic excellence. This achievement not only perfected my English, but also gave me techniques, methodologies, and tools to become a truly prepared teacher who can transform lives.
During all this time, I always had the company of my loyal friends, my dogs and cats. They were always with me. They have been my refuge, my strength, my family. That is why I developed a deep love and a strong affection for animals. For this reason, the purpose of this page is not only to teach you a skill that will accompany you for your entire life. It is also an opportunity to help the animals that are out there: alone, sick, hungry, suffering, and waiting for a friendly hand.
